BIGGEST MOVERS

LSU Tigers

• In one of the most-touted matchups of Week 1, the LSU Tigers took full advantage of the national stage and put on a masterclass against Clemson in Baton Rouge to go up 9 spots in our rankings. QB Sam Leavitt impressed the Death Valley crowd, slinging for 230 yards and a touchdown, while LB Whit Weeks led a dominant defense with six total tackles (1.5 for loss) in the massive 51-10 win.

Florida Gators

• Another team that came flying out of the gate in Week 1, the Florida Gators absolutely walloped in-state opponents Florida Atlantic 66-21 to move up 5  spots. RB Jaden Baugh made the most of his 14 carries, racking up 160 yards and THREE touchdowns in the Gators’ rout. QB Aaron Philo impressed in the air too, with 275 passing yards and three touchdowns of his own. 

Western Michigan Broncos

• Teams don’t always move up the rankings after a loss, but the Western Michigan Broncos sure earned their place in the Top 25 after taking in-state rivals the distance in a hotly contested matchup that truly went until the final second. The Michigan Wolverines came into this one as 27.5-point favorites, and the Broncos looked like they might have secured the win in the final seconds. The slimmest of margins kept the home side alive in the 13-12 win, but Western Michigan deserves plenty of praise for their unexpected performance.
